Round Manaslu Trekking
Manaslu is a short but classic trekking journey into the Himalayas, with breathtaking natural beauty. However, Round Manaslu is considered an adventurous and challenging trek off the main tourist routes in the Manaslu region.
While trekking, you will enjoy a peaceful environment away from the busy city life and immerse yourself in the mountain wonderland. In addition, it is a perfect trek for all mountain lovers who seek thrills in the mountains and those who have limited time. Grab the opportunity to take this beautiful Manaslu short trek that will give you a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
The Manaslu region gives an insight into some of the most beautiful mountain vistas, combined with centuries-old Himalayan culture and traditions. When compared to Everest Base Camp and the Annapurna Circuit trekking, the path sees a fairly small amount of traffic. Although most trekkers have not heard about Round Manaslu trekking, each year trekkers in the Manaslu region have been increasing leaps and bounds. Most of the parts of the Manaslu region are economically and socially backward and unexplored. These days, trekkers can spend nights in teahouses; some of them are basic and not as good as those you find in the Everest and Annapurna regions. Some trekkers claim that Round Manaslu would be the best teahouse trek, despite the lack of good accommodation.
When we start trekking at a lower elevation from Arughat or Soti village, trekkers will have a greater chance to meet with local people. Descending from Larke Pass could be a bit technical and challenging.
During the dry season, particularly in the spring, fall, and winter, local buses or private jeeps go from Kathmandu to Soti Khola, from where the trekking journey begins. When we conclude the trek at Tal or Dharapani, we get local buses or jeeps that take us to Kathmandu through Basi Sahar, following an off-road route. During the wet season, vehicles are not allowed to drive on this route.
It requires a special permit for trekking into the Manaslu region, as the world’s eighth-highest mountain, Mount Manaslu, shares the border with China (Tibet). It is the policy of the Nepali government’s department of immigration to control illegal entry into Tibet from Nepal and to preserve the trans-Himalayan culture, religion, and tradition.
These days, many trekkers prefer to go around the Manaslu trek just to experience being in an isolated region away from the hustle and bustle of urban life and to achieve something new in the remote region of Nepal. Even beginner trekkers can do round Manaslu trekking despite not having enough trekking experience at higher elevations.
The best seasons for Round Manaslu trekking are spring (April and May) and autumn (October and November). Awesome Wildpath is happy to organize the Round Manaslu trek for individuals and groups as per their interests and budgets.
