Situated north of Kathmandu, this is Nepal’s third-most popular trekking region. Trekking to the Langtang region provides a chance to explore the varied ethnocultures, scenic valleys, and Himalayan passes. Despite being easily accessible from Kathmandu, the Langtang region is still undeveloped and backward. It is very interesting to explore the sacred Gosainkunda Lake and the alpine yak pasture of Kyangin Gompa after a few wonderful days of trekking through lush forest and traditional ethnic towns. The mountain vistas are also quite heartwarming to hikers. With time, Gosainkunda has grown to be a revered destination for many Hindu and Buddhist devotees, Shamans, and travellers traversing the Laurebinayak Pass at 4,620 metres above sea level.
