Ghorepani Poonhill Trekking
The Ghorepani Poonhill Trek is one of the most popular, relatively easy, and shorter amongst other treks in the Annapurna region. It is growing in popularity day by day among beginner trekkers and nature lovers. The Poon Hill Trek is recommended for those who are looking for a few days to be close to nature without involving themselves in serious ascents. There is no risk of altitude sickness on this trek, which can be organized throughout the year except during the monsoon. At the final stage of this trek, you climb Poon Hill at dawn to enjoy the picturesque views of sunrise and one of the most spectacular mountains on Earth.
The glimpse of the high Himalayan Mountains stands just before your eyes, mesmerizing you and every lover of nature, whether young or old. The Poon Hill Trek is truly rewarding and memorable. In addition to panoramic sights and sunrises, the Poon Hill Trek takes you to ethnic villages and familiarizes you with the wonderful culture and lifestyle of rural people. From September to May, it is regarded as the best time to do poonhill trekking.
The route is well-marked, and there are many teahouses and restaurants on the way. Poon Hill is a great trail to hike as an acclimatization trek before attempting one of the more challenging treks, like the Annapurna Circuit or the Annapurna Base Camp.
